Our guild is located in the heart of the University City Loop District in the St. Louis, Missouri. Circle in the Square Quilters was formed in 1984 to:
- Bring together people who are interested in the art of quilt making
- Further the understanding of quilting as an intriguing and rewarding needle craft and artistic medium
- Encourage and aid women, men, and young people in performance of the quilting and patchwork arts; to share talents, knowledge, and techniques about quilting, past and present.
- Provide opportunities to exhibit fine examples of quilts and patchwork, old and new.
We hold six guild meetings during the year on the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September, and October. On the other months, we may have social meetings in a member’s home.
Meetings start at 6:30 PM. In 2022, we started meeting in person again. We invite everyone, quilters and non-quilters alike, to join us. Each program offers a variety of presenters talking about diverse quilting topics. And always a great members’ show-and-tell.
Our next meeting is Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm. We’re celebrating 40 years as a quilting guild with a tea party at the University City Public Library.
